How to Use This Site

Postby Cindi on Thu Nov 27, 2008 5:55 pm

Once you log in, go to the top of the page and click on board index.

From there, all of the groups/forums will be listed. Scroll down the group(s) you want to visit.
One the right hand side you will see who was the last person to post and the date they posted.

Click on the name of forum. Again, on the right hand side, you will see who was the last person to post and the date. Generally, the newest posts will be at the top of the list. You will also see labels that say "viewed" and "replies", which means how many times that message has been read and how many times someone replied to it.

On some messages, you will see little boxes with numbers... those are page numbers. Rather than scrolling through all of the messages you may have already read, just click on the last number to take you directly to the last message. When you open the page, you'll see the same numbers at the bottom of the page.

Just below the board index are the user control panel and "view your posts". Click on the last one to see the messages you posted or replied to.

Go to the user control panel and click on manage subscriptions. Anything that you post as the originator, you will automatically be subscribed to. Others you can choose to subscribe to the topic and then you will get an email telling you that a new message is there. Just click on the link and it will take you directly to the message. You can also subscribe to the forum and anytime there is a new message on that forum, you'll get a similar message.

To add graphics and pictures from quizzes and things like that... Select the BB Code or the code for forums.

My favorite site for graphics is
http://www.glitter-graphics.com/

It has graphics, animated pictures and avatars.

Seawee is right. It's like learning anything else new. Remember when you first had to learn how to use the Internet and email, you figured it out eventually...
